Impulstanz
The Vienna International Dance Festival is one of the most important festivals for contemporary dance. The program consists of a great number of performances, but you can also find workshops and research projects.

Popfest
In the heart of Vienna, at the Karlsplatz, the Popfest takes place. As the name tells us, popmusic with its various shapes is the subject of this lovely festival that only features Austrian musicians. It is also a good possibility to watch concerts in rather extraordinary venues like the Prechtlsaal of the University of Technology or the Karlskirche.

Vienna State Opera
There are no shows at the opera during summer, but you can book a guided tour through the interesting building.

Konzerthaus
The Wiener Konzerthaus is dedicated to both traditional and innovative musical styles and has the Vienna Symphony, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Wiener Singakademie and the Klangforum Wien in residence. The programme in July is limited.

Musikverein
The Wiener Musikverein is home to the Vienna Philarmonic Orchestra and highly regarded for the acoustics of the "Great Hall" (Großer Saal). Various concerts as well as guided tours will be offered in July.

Silent Music
A very good place to end the weekend is a Silent Music Concert at the Bunkerei Augarten. Every Sunday at 6:00 p.m. you can listen to Folk, Jazz, Worldmusic or the "Wienerlied".

Grafenegg
The orchestra-festival Grafenegg is well known all over Europe. The big names of classical music play on the Open-Air-Stage, which is famous for its architecture. There is a bus-transfer between Vienna and Grafenegg on the days of concerts.

Summer Stage
The Summer Stage at the Donaukanal is a nice place to have a glass of wine and listen to good music. The program is a fine mixture of Jazz, Pop and Balkan-Sound, but there are also readings from time to time. The admission is free.

Theater am Spittelberg
The Theater am Spittelberg is an old suburban theater and has a very typical Viennese Flair. During summer you can listen to some "Wienerlieder", Jazz and Popmusic, but there are also cabarets and shows for children.

WUK Platzkonzerte
Near the University of Vienna lies one of the most beautiful courtyards, where you can listen to Pop, Jazz and Worldmusic. From Tuesday to Friday at 8:30 p.m. with free admission.
